its strange lol. i wouldnt usually, but there is a piece of art work that it just a canvas.....with just black on it! just a black canvas! soo...i think a trace will require more work . BUT i dont agree with selling the artwork if it is traced. maybe for ur own pleasure, maybe with permission, but NOT to sell or make any money or credit out of it

Tracing line for line is bad on other peoples art. I occasionally find photo references and draw rough circles and such over the photo to represent parts of an animals body. It tends to really help with anatomy when I need a helping hand to strengthen my skills, but I hardly do it so much anymore. Even though I am not tracing I feel like I am cheating myself into doing better. I normally just look at a photo and draw on paper anyway. The lines are smoother when you do them on paper than on photoshop.
I also take photo references and draw in paper, but that's not tracing, is just taking an anatomy reference, such as when you ask someone to stay in a pose to draw it, it's not really tracing ^_^
Yeah, the black canvas thing, modern art of the 60's XD
So, selling isn't right, yeah, i agree. But what about tracing a piece without asking for permission, and posting here without even giving credits?... cause it's being done :/

I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior. If you do too, copy and paste this into your signature.
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
If we spent every minute of our lives thanking God for all that He has done, that still wouldn't be enough.
A little hard work never killed anybody.
